The port of Heraklion welcomed the first cruise ship of the year, last Sunday the 17th of February. The floating palace, Msc Sinfonia docked at pier IV -V, early in the morning at 06:30 and departed around 14:30 for the next port of call, Civitavecchia, Italy.

The 2,054 passengers had the opportunity to visit Heraklion city centre and the historic monuments.

According to the information data of Heraklion Port Authority, till the end of the year, 192 cruise ships are expected to arrive at the port of Heraklion.
